Is Testing Helping You Deliver or Getting in the Way?

Why IT Leaders Are Turning to Quality Engineering

Many IT leaders today face the same dilemma: their teams are testing more than ever — yet still struggling to deliver faster or with the level of confidence they're aiming for. They see testing as essential, but teams feel that it has become a bottleneck. This pressure is only increasing as delivery speeds accelerate, systems grow more complex, and expectations toward quality continue to rise. The pressure on testing will only increase with the broad adoption of AI-assisted development.

There are two key issues:

  • Traditional testing approaches often struggle to keep up
  • More testing doesn’t always lead to better results — in fact, it can lead to higher costs, slower releases, and decreasing confidence

This webinar introduces Quality Engineering (QE) — a broader, more integrated approach to quality that supports faster, more reliable software delivery. QE builds on testing, but shifts the focus from defect detection to defect prevention, and from individual responsibility to whole-team collaboration.

In this session, we will cover:

  • What Quality Engineering is — and how it differs from traditional QA and testing

  • Why testing alone may no longer be enough in modern delivery environments

  • The key principles behind QE, including prevention, continuous improvement, and whole-team responsibility for quality

  • What kinds of teams and organisations are likely to benefit from QE

  • Practical examples of how QE can modernise testing and delivery practices

  • How to get started — without a complete overhaul
