Testing in Agile Waters

How Traditional Banking and Modern Software Development Flow Best

Tesena Fest presentation led by Pia Wiedermayer

22. 09. 2022 from 15:30 to 16:00 CET + 10 minutes Q&A

About the Presentation

When I joined this project in 2019, testing was not about quality, but about detecting failure. The rifts were deep, the mistrust high and the quality…well, there was a lot of room for improvement. Sounds familiar to you? If you are looking for ideas on how to change such destructive working modes join my talk. I will take you on our journey from the former waterfall setup to the current agile quality assurance organization. Blood, sweat and tears included…and we are not done yet. Thanks to SAFe & DevOps transformation "built-in quality" is finally receiving the appropriate attention within the bank.

Pia Wiedermayer

I am a Quality Passionista. Good software quality holds a special place in my heart.  Most important to me is a holistic approach in which quality is understood and lived as a principle and not as an annoying evil at the end of the process. In projects I prefer to work as the Team's Quality Coach. In this role I enable and support the team to build in quality from the very beginning and to efficiently assess the product quality throughout the entire lifecycle
