Performance Testing Workshop

Workshop led by Tomáš Hák and Viktor Terinek

Why attend the course?

Performance testing is becoming more important throughout the development process of key applications where increased workloads are expected. The course will introduce the participants to the theory in this area, we will go through typical examples of use and their results, and in the second part, we will try everything on practical examples in the form of a workshop. Participants will try to prepare their tests in Locust.io and Jmeter.

In the practical part of JMeter:

Basic familiarization with the tool and how to use it

Preparation of a predefined scenario

Local execution and report analysis

In the practical part of Locust:

Basic familiarization with the tool and how to use it

Scripting load scenarios

Monitoring, execution, and test reporting

Key Takeaways

What is load testing and their types

Where to use them

How to read results, practical examples

How to design scenarios and tracked metrics

Why is it important to know the behavior of our customers when designing a test

How to set up the infrastructure

Tomáš Hák and Viktor Terinek will guide you through the course

Tomáš has been in testing for more than 13 years. He was at the beginnings of automated testing in companies, such as Jobs.cz (LMC), Kolonial (today Košík), Mall.cz, testing of George banking and some Česká Spořitelna APIs, and most recently participated in the test automation of Škoda Auto. He has used a variety of tools and programming/scripting languages. In the last four years, in Tesena, he has primarily used Python and the Robot Framework built on top of it.

Viktor has been gathering experience in the field of software testing for more than 15 years. Over his career, he has held virtually all executive testing roles associated with test analysis, design, and implementation, including various dimensions of automation. He has worked through several management roles and is currently fully dedicated to streamlining testing processes and designing new solutions. He looks forward to applying his experience within your project.
